This blog is created by teachers of Jabez International Education Center Inc., in an attempt to help you with your English skills. In this site, you will find a collection of biographies, news articles, practice word exercises, and short stories that may enhance your speaking abilities.
On your left, click on the arrows and you will see an index of the topics you can find here. Just click on your subject of interest or level type and materials will be presented to you. Or you can click some of the subjects here.
The best thing to do is to read these materials out loud. Reading out loud allows you to be more comfortable in speaking the language. If you have a recorder, record your voice and listen to it afterward. You will be able to point out your own mistakes and know which parts need improvement.
Is there a word you do not understand? Some words used in these materials may not be familiar to you. I strongly suggest you go to http://www.merriam.com/ and type in the search box the word you are looking for. The website will give you an idea of what the word means. If you still don't understand the word, email us. If you're our student, write the word down and mention it on your next class. We'd be more than happy to help.
